i have been trying unsuccessfully to get the 'Oil Plug' out from the oil pan. Its stuck and the threads are wearing out.

I am using a regular 14mm wrench, but the nut does not budge. Its just plaing annyoing.

Can anybody help and let me know if i am doing something wrong ?

keep trying, try a vise grip pliers if you have to. then in another car take it to autozone or what not and see if it can be replaced.

Worst-case, you will have to buy a self-tapping drain plug after getting that one out.

How can, the nut not budge and at the same time the threads be wearing out?? (That doesn't make sense) Is the bolt turning, just not backing out?

went to bf goodridge and had the oil plug changed. i will give it another try tommorow to get the plug out.
