Oil Pressure sending unit
I am on my 3rd sending unit for my '93 Ranger 4.0. I replaced the original one becauce of erratic readings. The replacement one for fine for a short time and started doing the same thing, erratic and low readings. I have lived with it for several years, but with my last oil change I installed a new sending unit that I bought at Auto Zone. It read normal and steady that night, but on my way to work the next morning it was reading even lower than the unit that I had just replaced and it was wandering even more. So would a Motorcraft unit from my local Ford dealer work any better? Oh and as for the milage I bought it in '99 with 76k on the odometer. I am now at 173k. fd
