Overheating problem
I've got a 94 Ranger, 4.0L V6 auto, that is having difficulties with overheating. I replaced the thermostat some months ago without any improvement. It hasn't bothered me much since I don't drive alot and the truck is generally fine for normal driving. I do run into some overheating problems if I get stuck in traffic.
However, today I took the truck in to pass smog. Passed fine. But the truck overheated and spewed coolant all over the ground! well, at least I still passed!
I know it sounds like the thermostat, and maybe it is, and I did not install it properly. Any ideas?
