i seem to be getting a clicking noise coming from the steering rack. it can be felt through the steering wheel. happens when i back up, going straight or turning right. ive looked at all the ball joints and tie rods. had a friend turn the wheel it feels like its coming from the rack. is the rack toast? the clicks sounds like someones tapping hte steering column with a hammer(lightly though). its definitly metal on metal. really only noticeable when at parking lot speeds. been on a few forums and nobody seems to know what it is. thanks in advance

PROBLEM SOLVED! It was the inner tied rod on the passenger side. Swapped it out and issue is fixed.

yeah i figured id post my results in case anyone ever has a similar problem that hopefully theyll run across my post. its been bugging me for months now.
