Sounds like you already have one and are adding another. If so, you normally will need to reprogram your current one at the same time or the new one will work and not the old one. Instructions can usually be found in your owners manual. If you don't have one go here to look it up online.

Get in vehicle
Cycle door locks from lock to unlock
Place the key in the ignition
Turn key from "on" to "off" 8 times within 8 seconds stopping on the "on" position
The door lock will cycle confirming programming mode (if not, repeat)
Press any button on Fob 1 and any button on Fob 2
Turn key off and lock will cycle again to exit mode
