Question radios

I am looking to replace my am fm cd and cassette factory radio with an aftermarket head unit. My wife bought me an am fm cd and cassette double din radio with a fold down face for my birthday can anyone please tell me the size of the Ford radio is it a din , din&1/2 or a double din? or give me the measurements of the cavity that the radio fits in so I know if it would fit I have a 2001 Ford Ranger 4x4 cab and 1/2 with 4 doors with an automatic transmition and I have not installed it because it looks way too large for the opening any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks Dean

Re: radios may want to go to the Crutchfield website. They sell a hell of lot a radios. You can probably pick up the phone number off the site and talk to one of their sales people and they may be able to answer your questions. It's worth a shot. Good luck.
