I have a 2002 2.3L 5 sp. manual Ranger 2wd and the clutch is going. There's only a little play left in it but it's still driveable. Is there a way to adjust the clutch or is it time to replace? The dealer quoted me $1,150 & another reputable shop quoted me $950, both parts & labor.

There's no adjustment. It has to be replaced.

I also believe those have the DMF.

Might want to read this article about that, if it does in-fact have it.

I don't think the Rangers had the dual mass flywheels.
