Looking to buy a truck that gets some gas mileage and thought the 4 cyl 5 spd ranger would be good (just sold my 2005 Ram Quad Cab). I have two kids - one in a booster seat who will need to sit by the door with the shoulder belt and the other, 3 months old, is in a car seat and I thought might fit in the middle. Wonder if there is room to do this esp, with the stick and the car seat in the middle.

The standard cab Ranger is really small. Maybe an extended cab will help, but it may only be available with the V6 with an extended cab.

Greetings!

My 96 Ranger XLT extended cab 2WD has the 2.3 4 cylinder motor.
A Michigan truck its entire life, it has mininal rust. With 115,000 miles,
it still gets 25 mpg all day long. Its a grandpa truck - very slow off the line
and excelerating - and that's with a 5 speed!
