is there a way i can clear the codes from the airbag computer on a 1997 ranger or do i need to take it to a shop

it's a xlt ranger 4x4 4.0L

They clear themselves when all is repaired. There is no reset. What's the flash code?

the code is 52 fixed code 12
i got to get a state inspection at the end of the month and they will not pass with the light on i tried

reset pin not there in the datalink
could it be someplace else on a 97 ranger
or what color is the wire
heard from some the airbag reset plug was placed in random locations

Not sure where it would be. If you didn't have to have it inspected, after 255 key on off cycles, it clears when no fault is present. The wire colors for the clear memory should be tan/red and black.

dont have a tan/red wire any where even checked at the airbag control unit plugs

Then yours may have to have a shop reset it.

can anyone find a circuit pin-out of the airbag plugs
some of my wiring colors don't match the book
