SALVAGE VALUE for 1986 RANGER?????
1986 Ford Ranger 2.3L / 4Cyl./ 5-speed. / 140 CID SOHC. ORIGINAL OWNER, with TITLE! I recently, within six months ago, replaced within a few months, New Fuel filter, New TFI Engine control module, New battery, New Starter, New fuel/computer relays, New Ignition starter switch, Plugs & wires, Cap and rotor, and other miscellaneous items. Last December, I installed a new Sony MP3/CD/AM-FM/AUX/USB RADIO -CDX-GT40U- Two Sony 6.5" CXS-GT4016F Speakers.
Someone hit me November 21, and I now need to salvage it. This truck has passed smog every two years and has original engine with 155,975.0 and ran great! And now, it's not repairable, so I am now trying to find the most money for salvage I can get.
When you look at the salvage value, do you INCLUDE these new parts I recently installed or not? By removing the radio myself, do I get less...OR...IS THIS PRICE, AS IS? Should I just get what I can, then walk away?
I know I've been on these forums a lot over these many years, but this is the first Total loss of any vehicle I've ever known, so I really don't know what to expect for value.
On the replacement LOSS value of this truck, would $2,000.00 to be acceptable for a non-fault claim?
