My roommate has a 95 Ranger XLT and his check engine light came on, is there a way to check to see what the code is of the problem that tripped the light, i used to have a 93 probe gt and i know i was able to check the codes pretty easily on that, is there a way to do this on the ranger? thanks for the help

take it to an autoplace to check the codes, most do it for free

he took it to autozone and they said their machines don't work with the ranger, which is complete bs but then again it is autozone
