Friday I was going down I-95 running the AC on the low setting and when I pulled up an exit ramp I started smelling something like leaves burning. And then all of sudden I had smoke (not mist) coming inside the cab. I cut the AC off and the fan off and it quit smoking. I think the problem is the fan blower. It does work on the high fan (setting and nothing on the lower settings) Has anyone ever had this happen, if so, I hard is it to replace and how costly. Any help would be appreciated. Oh by the way it was hot as hell Friday too.

Well for fan speed problems you need to replace the reastat, easy to do and cheap. I actually rebuilt the one in my 88 a while ago. As for smoke either your blower is shot or you need to clean the shit out of your vent system.........

Blower resistor burnt up. Replace that to fix it.

Thanks Mullet Man. I'll try that as soon as possible. It runs on high O.K. so I'll pick one up and try it out. Going on vacation today so I'll try it when I get back and let you know.
