Question speed limiter

I have a 03 Ranger FX4 level 2 and I am a little disappointed in the 90mph controlled speed. Does anyone know a way around this? Thanks for your help.

Re: speed limiter

With a Superchip you can remove it. But do you really need to go that fast?

Not usually

Nobody needs to go that fast. I just don't like the idea of being limited in a "what if" scenario. My ZX2 had it set at 105 and I found a wire to cut to disable it. I rarely went that fast, but is nice knowing that I could. I want to stay away from chips until I am rich. I pay $1.87 for the cheap stuff where I am at right now.

Re: speed limiter

Well i dont think theres a way other than the chip because i think its governed by the computer. but someone else may come along and burst my bubble.

Re: speed limiter

my truck dont have a speed limiter !
i wish i knew how fast my truck was going at top speed but when the speedo pin comes all the way round and goes up to 5 or 10 mph for the second time i am pretty sure its not right.

Re: speed limiter

Dude thats pretty cool 351. When my speedo goes up, my fuel guage goes down so i learnt a long time ago to keep my foot of it.

Re: speed limiter

It has a limiter? I have an '03 XLT 4x2 and I've taken it beyond 90 MPH.

Re: speed limiter

Unless you have a chip it should be limited to between 91-94 MPH. Everyone else I have talked to has had the same thing.
