Squeaking noise from soft cover - Ford Forums

Hello Ranger dudes and dudettes,

I just put a soft tonneau cover on my 03 Ranger and I notice a squeaking noise right where the front of the bed almost meets the cab. It appears that the lip on the cover is rubbing against the back of the cab. I hear it mostly when I hit a bump in the road. Any ideas of how to get rid of this annoying noise? Is it on too tight? Do I need some kind of lubricant or something?

Try "ARMOR ALL" or some other softening agent

Thanx. I have a ExTang cover. The guy I bought it from said to never use Armour All. He said it would ruin it. The manufacturers website said to use only Tonno Tonic. I ordered a bottle of that.

Yeah armor all supposedly dries it out
