Hey people, just joined this morning and wanted to say hi and also ask a question. I took my truck into the shop to get the oil changed and rotate the tires, now the clutch squeaks sometimes when I shift gears. Anyone have any ideas what this may be? I havea 2002 Ford Ranger Edge 3.0L V6. Btw, Ive never been happier with a vehicle!

it doesnt sound like a problem just a need for a little lube to eliminate the squeak, there might even be a grease fitting on the clutch i am not sure.

Welcome to the Forums. Just try some WD-40 or lithium grease and it should be fine. Just take a look under the dash to see if anything is rubbing.
Or my solution.... Turn up the music!!

i got a 99 reg cab 4cyl with a squaeky clutch. But it really only does it when im hard on it. I think it might be time for a tranny fluid change.

the tranny fluid has nothing to do with the clutch squeeking
but yea changing the fluid is a good idea anyway if you have over 60,000 miles

if your clutch isnt slippin or have 200,000 miles on probably not.
usually a squeek is just the linkage or shaft rubbing somewhere because of dirt or rust and a little lube will work wonders.
