i have a 90 ford ranger xlt ext cab 2wd 2.9 4 speed i think it the mits trans from all the other websites ive been to but in still not sure . they are saying the mistubishi is a 4wd only trans. also this trans has a removeable bellhousing . ok heres my question is it possible 2 make the 4wd trans into a 2wd trans because im having a hard time finding a 2wd trans for the ranger in michigan but their are plenty of 4wd around. ok hope this makes sence other than bad spelling ty john

I'm not up on the tranny's on the ranger, but I would think it is a Mazda tranny rather than a Mitsubushi.
I think you may need to check your post, seems to contradict itself on the
2wd and 4wd, just so everyone is sure of your question. (Of course, it might just be me that is confused!)
