Trying to put a 2001 Ranger radio into a 1995 Ranger - hoping that an adapter exists!

Hi everyone. So, for a long time I tolerated having just an AM/FM stock radio in my 1995 Ford Ranger. But recently I totally cracked and decided that I need to have a CD player and tape deck so that I can plug in an MP3 player.

Anyway, I went on Craigslist and found just what I was looking for - a 2001 Ford Ranger radio that has all of those things. Awesome! So, I removed my 1995 radio and was disappointed to see that the connectors for the original radio are totally different from the 2001 radio. I was hoping to be able to just switch them out, but it sounds like they changed over sometime around 1998.

So, that said, are there any quick and easy adapters that convert one to the other? I ordered a 2001 harness from Pep Boys and they said that I'll be able to splice the wires in manually when I get it. That sounds kind of involved though, and I'm really hoping that someone might know if there is just an adapter anywhere. I've included a picture.

Above is the 1995 radio, the 2001 below. Thanks in advance!

Hello and Welcome. You might ask our forum sponsor Scosche. They make a lot of adapters for automotive audio systems.
