Hello again!
For a change, those of us here in NSW have a ton of stuff happening, with V8Supercar events, FPV-Tickford Club runs, & SCR chipping in with their own stuff, so it’s been a bit hard to find a clear weekend to hold the next 3FB Cruise.
We HOPE we’ve finally found one, and as this event is one that a lot of Sydney guys have requested, we hope to get a decent turnout. This event will go ahead RAIN or SHINE, and regardless of any other events that are subsequently organised by anyone else.
We will meet at 3:00pm around the Loftus Tramway Museum (UBD map332, H9), which is located at the corner of Rawson Avenue & Pitt Street, Loftus (about 1km north of the Royal National Park entrance, just off the Princes Hwy.). I still need to check the on-street/off-street parking there, so it could be a little further up Rawson Ave. at Waratah Park Reserve.
Departure time is 3:30pm SHARP. We’ll head into the Royal National Park at Farnell Avenue (I don’t THINK you have to pay park entry if you’re just driving straight through), down over Audley weir then run south on Sir Bertram Stevens Drive. This is a GREAT bit of road (but remember, as with all great roads, there will be other traffic and probable POLICE patrols).
We’ll stop to regroup at the south end of the park at the place all the hang-gliders go off the cliffs from (is this Stanwell Tops?), before heading south on the coast road into the ‘Gong for a bit of lighthouse area cruising finishing with a patented 3FB dinner feast at a location still TBA.
After the feastivities, we’ll be heading out to Highway 1 for a night-time freeway blast back north to Sydney.
Guys, this is 3 weeks away, and adds to the already large event calendar in NSW for June. But those of us who live for cruising or have no lives too much cruising is never enough.
Please post your interest or any questions you may have here.
Cheers
Jason
3FB Cruise Director.
