Just before the registration page is posted., we need to organise some accom for those people staying in Melbourne.

I have spoken to Several place over recent months., and due to the fact that the Grand Final weekend is on the same time., most places have jacked the price of an over night stay up 50% and will not allow a booking for less than 7 days.

I have approached Michael from St Georges Motor Inn where the Tickford Day people stayed and he is more than happy to accomodate our needs.

The room rate will be $125.00., (indicative at this stage)
Some rooms have double bed and single bed
A couple of rooms have Double and 2 singles
While others have Double only

Let me assure you the normal rate for a Grandfinal Weekend is $175.00 and normally you would book for 5 nights at least

Michael is taking a loss to help us out on this but has requested we confirm number ASAP

We will be staying Wednesday., Thursday., Friday and Sunday night. It needs to be this 4 night stay., other wise you will need to source other accom for the trip

As the registration for the raid has not begun., I would like to see people reply to this thread indicating if they are going to stay

You can also organise if you going to share a room!., thus the cost would be further reduced.

Also., if you going to drive., if your willing to pay for security guard at night to cover car park. Not sure but I think they charge at least $40-$50 hour

You will need to org your own funds payment for hotel and booking but I will post details of how this is to be done in the next couple of days.

May I suggest you contact each other to arrange room number if you want to share a room.

Good stuff Laminge, I'm looking at Thursday, Friday and Saturday Nights, Happy to camp with anyone for those nights. Cheers to Michael for looking after us again. I'm happy to chip in for security also.

Yes to the accomodation for the 4 nights and a big yes to the security.

Also do we need to pay a deposit. If so do we pay the hotel direct (need details) or has some other arrangement been made.
