Discretion is not in my dictionary - sorry. As I am currently "between" clubs, I think I can officially issue an unofficial statement. The long and short of it is that a new club has been formed in Canberra. The FPV & XR Owners Club ACT. The existing club will also stay, but will only be viable if existing members choose to stay with it. I will probably join the new club, as it will be ACT based, and run by ACT people, for ACT people.

I think I can safely say that we (the ACT branch members) owe a huge thanks to the FPV-Tickford club of NSW, as without the support of the NSW club, the ACT branch (and the new ACT club) would not be in the position we are today - and that position is that a new club has been formed in Canberra. We have talked about doing this for around 18months, so I for one am grateful that Shaun and the rest of the committee finally bit the bullet and got the new club started. A huge thanks to John McGrath Ford and all our other sponsors for giving us the financial backing to make the new club possible.

Hopefully we will still see the NSW (Sydney and Newie) boys at events such as the FPV day, Peter Warren All Ford day, as well as the ACT show'n'shine, and similar events throughout the year. I think the presence of an ACT club in the ACT can only be a good thing for all late model Ford fans in Canberra (and surrounding regions).
