The Commodore Cruise Club (
www.commodoreclub.net) in conjunction with the Holden LS1 Club (
www.ls1.netrider.org.au) have booked Calder Park to hold a Private, Street Legal drag night. The format will be identical to the public events held bi-monthly, except for no Burn Out comp and no "public" spectators. The track will be fully prepared with VHT etc. All Street Legal cars are welcome (get your 10 second cars out of the garage and down to Calder)
The cost for this event is $100 per car (includes the driver and a maximum of 2 crew people), there will be no public entry for non-competitors.
Your car must be registered and in a road worthy condition. You must wear an approved helmet (motor cycle type, not your little brothers stack hat) and longs pants & sleeves.
There is a total limit of 90 cars to ensure that everyone gets a decent amount of runs. In addition, this event will allow for cars to "choose" whom they run against, so get set to sort out who's the fastest!!!
The gates will open to entrants at 5pm, with the first race at 6pm. Full timing gear will be running so you will get timeslips. With 90 cars I expect around 10 runs per car, provide we have no track incidents which require the track to be cleaned/cleared. All the normal safety crews will be in attendance, and all participates are covered under Calders public liability insurance.
Please note that this event is private, there will no access to members of the public, if you are not with a participant, you will not be able to get in. There is a maximum of 2 "crew" per car.
