Driver Training Day at Oran Park
Ok as some people may already know by reading the Diary or *gasp* attending monthly club meetings, we are trying to organise a driver education day at Oran Park raceway.
These are the pertinent details I have gathered from Brad Howes, our esteemed club member who is facillitating the event.
Date: Saturday 26th May. (to be re-confirmed)
Time: 8:30am (until 4:30pm)
Venue: Oran Park Raceway
Cost: $250 (may be less if more than 20 people enter)
This event is for the purposes of advanced driver training (ie not reverse parking or three point turns). Qualified instructors will be present. A catered lunch is also included in the admission price.
Payment needs to be made by cheque/money order or cash. It can me mailed to the address below. Payment in person can probably be arranged by contacting Brad. He should be appearing this Sunday at the Dyno Day. Confirmation of attendance and payment need to be done soon for the day to go ahead. If we can't get a reasonable number of entries by about a month out from the date, Brad will need to cancel the booking with the racetrack or be out big $$.
There will be opportunity for people to discuss the day up to about the Eastern Creek Supercar races but that's about it.

Things prospective entrants will need to have/prepare for:
AS approved helmet, non-flammable long sleeve clothing and closed shoes.
Car in safe working order. That primarily means brakes, steering and suspension. If you don't know when your fluid was last changed it would be wise to do so with some good quality DOT4 or better stuff. If you need to change pads don't leave it to the last minute as Brad advises 500k of driving to properyly bed them in.
