OK, after much negotiation here at work, it is the sad conclusion that I cannot come to the raid.
The reason?
Redundancy.
I have been displaced from my job, and I am being made redundant. This is going to take a couple of weeks to finalise, and they won't give me anytime off before it happens. Actually, I think the raid week, will be my last week.
So, now I have to worry about getting a new job.
And you would think a Government job is stable................
Sorry to hear that mate!
Ah well, just use it as an opportunity to move onto bigger and brighter things, and recharge the batteries at the same time.

Sorry to hear about that Ken Oath. Easy for me to say I know, but onwards and upwards. Register yourself for temp work as soon as you can. It is amazing how many permanent opportunities eventually arise. Any salary coming in helps make the redundancy payment last longer or better still become a windfall.
Don't suppose you know a doctor who can make you sick for a week ????, then your work couldnt get upset. But .... as they know you want the time off, and redundancy is usually good money, not worth the possible hassle.
