I didnt go to well tonight.

1st run - started off good with a 0.549 reaction, and 2.3 60 footer.
Unfortunatly, I found out my car has a speed limitor!!! The speedo is out (a lot more than I realised)
I won the race (against a commodore) anyways.

2nd run - I fouled it! 0.396 reaction!!!! ARGH! Then I missed 2nd AND 3rd!!! I still passed the line first (against another commodore)

3rd run - Against a new club member who has a XR6. won by about 5 or so car lengths, but still had a shocking time.

Martin - WTF was my thoughts exactly..

My car has always been manual (even myford.com.au says manual).

I actually thought I had broken the car, and was about to pull over, and the pulsing stopped... I pressed the accelerator again, and it happened again.!!

I actually tested this later, by adjusting the speedo so it was reading really really high, and when its off the dial it sorta dies.
I disconnected the speedo and it worked fine.

Mick mentioned this at EC, remember? He said how else to explain the engine running rough with the speedo adjuster configured high, then resuming smoother running when the speedo was corrected?

The blown EF 6 hasn't been running well. Could only manage a 13.1s again. Thought it could be worn rings or convertor. Did a compression test on the engine over the weekend and compression is good, so probably the convertor. Will get a custom one made and try it.
