ok folks, ive made up a poll here so we can throw a few ideas around, vote, and come up with something for this years meet.
if youre happy to do a couple of things, you can select multiple options, otherwise, just pick one.
Also, please throw dates around and see what everyone thinks...
cheers
dave

most of the options would include a BBQ lunch at some point along the cruise
oh and please also post whether or not you would be interested in a dinner in the evening like we did last year
lets get the ball rolling!

I picked either Black spur or the cruise/go karting
If go karting ends up being a goer (for this or any future cruises) may i suggest Somerton Karts on the Hume, approx. 2km's north of Ford HQ, they have the fastest hire karts in Vic (2-stroke), they are now well run too, not too pricey.

I didn't vote for GOR for the pure fact that I can drive on it whenever I want and when theres a cruise it's usually not really that fun a drive as it's too congested. Out of them all I chose a local cruise with a visit to the roaring forties tour as I've never been there before. And as for staying overnight, definatly need somewhere where we can piss up! You're a thinker Greg....

Is this meant to be a family day? or is just to have a boos up just like every other car club dose. Dont get me wrong i like a drink but dont you think it would be nicer to inclued the whole family.
...I don't care where we cruise too..... but at the end of it there HAS to be decent accomadation and place for a monumental piss up
how many other people want the option to make it an overnighter??

this is a family event, the day will be aimed to be absolutely family friendly. Then if everyone is up for it, there would be a dinner, a bit of socialising etc. and a few special awards handed out. Of course as always there will be the usual drinking late into the night for anyone who is that way inclined! I really recommend everyone stays, because it is always an absolute barrel of laughs, and many a nickname has been born at these events!

ok folks, as far as dates go its looking quite tight!
20-21 November: Heathcote Drags / Holden-Ford Nationals
28 November: XR club xmas party
4 December: E-series cruise down G.O.R.
11 December: XR Club cruise to Eildon / Black Spur
19 December: Winton fun day
sooo we have a few choices, all of which will be a compromise. Ive listed them below:
Option 1. Saturday 27 November.
Pros: Still a while to xmas, so shouldnt clash with any work / family events; nothing else on for that day, so should be able to maximise numbers!
Cons: XR club breakup next day
Option 2. Saturday 11 December
Possibility of combined run with XR club to Eildon / Black spur maybe??? Would need to confirm with them, but most of them are members here as well, so it shouldnt be too much of a drama. Chris can you confirm if it would be ok?? Then we would all go our seperate way after cruise and head out for our FF break up dinner
Pros: Should be a big cruise which would be great!!! Possibility of gaining new members
Cons: Not able to do our own thing, but thats no big drama - that area was one of our preferred options anyway
Option 3. Saturday 19 December. Clash with Winton fun day
Pros: would save me all the money ill spend if i go to Winton! not too many planning on going anyway, so shouldnt have a huge impact on numbers at cruise; plenty of time for planning
Cons: Quite close to xmas
any comments???
