FPV Tickford Western Sydney/Blue Mountains Cruise Saturday Night 24th May

Taken from the FPV Tickford Club Events section:
Western Sydney/ Blue Mountains cruise

When: Saturday night 24th May
Where: Meet at Silverwater Boat Ramp, Depart Homebush 4:30 sharp.
We will head west along the M4 until we reach Mulgoa Road exit.
Regroup at the Ampol on Mulgoa road, then off to Emu Plains and head up Old Bathurst Road, quite a twisty fun road, into Mount Riverview.
We will then proceed to Mitchells Pass. A great fun, one way, no traffic, short stretch of twisty, smooth blacktop to really test you and machine!!!
Regroup at the bottom, hang around a bit then head back to the motorway for Springwood. Turn off the Great western Highway into Hawkesbury Road to head down the mountain into Agnes Banks via Springwood road.
After that, around 7 - 7:30 we will go to St Marys Leagues Club for dinner and a few brews. There is quite a good all you can eat buffet in there, nice modern club, good well lit parking lot patrolled by security guards.

This cruise is going to be great, with a good mix of uphill 180 degree twisties, down hill challenges, as well as open road cruises. Oh theres a bonus we are encorporating a dinner at the end to recap/chitchat etc. So if you have the saturday afternoon free, be social and come out and show off your ford, we'd love to see you on the cruise.

I am on call for the next week but I will see if I can palm off Saturday night. The hairpins on Old Bathurst rd have been resurfaced with a grippy axle snapping tyre shredding type of tar. Just a warning to those so inclined.

Mate, should try an go for a drive with us, if you get called you can always peel off.
Hmmm bugger about resurfacing material, hopefully a much of XR's going through should make it less grippy again.

I don't know whre it is still.

Comming from the City, do I turn left or right onto Silverwater Rd?

I am assuming I turn Right.

(Gary, can you PM me your mobile number, in case I get lost or am late?)

Ken Oath,

Coming from the city on Parramatta Rd you turn right. From Victoria Rd you turn left.

If you are coming from Paramatta Rd, the ramp is at the southern end of the bridge on the left hand side from memory.

Have a great time guys
