if its just like most club days you will need:

1/ secondary bonnet restraint (pins or even just a leather belt will do)

2/ fire extinguisher - easy to access and must be at least 1kg ie.the 900gm k mart ones wont do! I have a motorcraft one - cost like 20 - 25 bucks i think

3/ tape over all forward facing lights (pretty straight forward and duct tape is the go)

4/ remove all lose items from car (floor mats, spare wheel, mcdonalds chips, dash mats etc.)

5/ remove tow bar

6/ you will need an aus standard approved helmet

7/ you will need a cams licence. The level you would need is the one the you just pay for - no test involved

cant think of anything else right now, but nothing major anyway - its pretty easy to get on the track for a club day.

just wondering botch - do we need to be members of the valiant club or what???

you would probably be surprised!!!

i ran my stock EA (ok it had tickford suspension and a zorst) at one race meet and had a great time mixing it up with guys in porches, wrxs, and a couple of early HSVs. Those guys just couldnt drive - they would fly past me down straight and then i would pass them back again through the twisty bits and ended up posting faster times than them! It was the over 2 litre class so its a pretty big class - I finished up 2nd in that class on the day and was absolutely wrapped!

so i encourage anyone and everyone to come and run what they drove in the gate! And for those of you that are worried about their cars - its not like normal racing ya see on the TV! everyone is in the same boat about not wanting their car damaged, and youre probably less likely to get hit on the track than on the road...at least everyone is going the same direction! and its a time based thing, not an actual 'race', so if you want you can let everyone else go and then lap by yourself - but thats not as much fun :s6:
