Hey all, just a quick post to let everyone know there is a Race Meet and Burnout Comp at Gippsland Dragway, Bairnsdale on the 12th of December 2004.

Details as follows,

Gippsland Dragway
150 Aerodrome Road
Bairnsdale

1/8th Mile Track

Run by Bairnsdale Motor Sports Club inc

From 6 seconds and under, through to 11 seconds and over in half second brackets.

Trophies and Prizes in each bracket. Trophy and Prizes for Burnout Comp also

Spectators : $5 each
Family/Car : $20
Children Under 14 Free

Race Entry Price
All Ford Forum Members $40

On the day $55

Gates Open : 10am
Scrutineering : 10am till 1pm
Qualifying from : 11am
Racing Starts : 3pm
Burnout Comp : 5.30pm
Presentations : 6pm

For those who don't know, Bairnsdale is around 2 1/2 hours from the Eastern Suburbs.

Have the turbos been removed from the XR8?

Just confirmed an entry from a local torana which runs 8.50 1/4 mile.

It has run a 5.98 at Bairnsdale before so hopefully he can better that!

Pre-entries are slowly coming in and it looks like it should be a big meet with an anticpated 50+ cars.

Any one else interested that hasn't already PM'd me?

Did you get a sale on the kit? Or on the car without the turbos?

What are the plans now?

Brett's gunna have the new puter, etc?

sold the complete turbo setup so now i'll have a stock xr8 again (almost stock).
just need to sell the car now.

Brett's got the new Autronic almost wired in, just waiting on the 1000cc injectors and chopper disc for the distributer.

Hopefully it'll make around the 400rwkw mark now, he'll be at the limit of the conrods with that sort of power. i don't think the auto's gunna like it much either but we'll see.

yeah it would have been great just got a new auto in last week feels like its alot stronger than the other, maybe another time ...... cheers Dennis
