Just thought id pitch in with an idea from the Chrysler Guys off another forum. We had a cruise away for the weekend, where we met saturday morning, cruised up toward Cessnock, stayed at a pub(yukky one at that) where we hung out taking snaps of other peoples cars, drinking, swapping yarns, and getting to meet fellow enthusiasts. This went into the night, until everyone retired and was followed by a Maccas brekkie followed by returning via the putty Rd(which is a nightmare in a Valiant).
The beauty of this weekend away was that it wasnt a car show,it was an informal gathering which was very successful.
I know guys in car clubs probably do the same thing, but would anyone be interested in trying to start up a weekend away at a set date through the year???
Being in Sydney the Chrysler guys headed north as there were quite afew people who lived up that way.But the options are endless,south/west/east...
Ofcourse we would need somewhere for security of the cars, but if someone was interested in trying to get this up and working let me know, otherwise il just crawl back in my hole and be quiet.
I thought i couldnt not having an XR car,but after a look at their website and reading off the Tickford forum, ive downloaded a membership form and will send it in.I didnt want to be the only member without a tickford but after a look at the members rides on the site,it appears there are afew others without XRs.
