I realise that this thread will inevitably end up going dramatically downhill from here - but I thought I'd start it off on a positive note....
It was a good enough nite out, a little cold outside, & some rather "dramatic flashwork" by some of the less honourable 3FB boys (hopefully only some of their work will reveal itself)
Hopefully people may get at least some enjoyment out of the attatched pics (before this thread goes really downhill)

Great photos Amazing work! It was a brilliant night out, so glad it came about ok! Thanks to everyone who showed up, specially Mark and family, taking time away from a hectic work schedule - 2HEKTIC some might say (Aaron!).

I think the RTA's traffic monitor cameras caught a photo of one of my F3 moments...



For those that don't know the full story...

I was driving down the F3 Freeway to get to Sydney to meet up with the rest. I passed a very very bad accident where a Kia Rio had been stationary on the side of the highway, then gone to rejoin without looking, and being collected by a BA Fairmont which was doing 110kmh. Bad accident, I hope everyone got out ok in the end.

Then, not long after, I was coming up to a big stupid 4WD who was closing on another car. He didn't pull out before I got to him, so I was alongside him to pass him and this other slower car. The 4WD then merged lanes into the right hand lane - when I was there! I had to take to the grass centre strip, only it wasn't mowed grass, it was a hardcore unkept uneven area of doom and great disaster. Well, it was mowed after I went thru it all, by the sounds of things I was sure pieces were getting torn off and tyres puncturing as the car bucked and bounced everywhere. The tyres are Self Puncturing as it was, so after the 4WD realised what he was doing (how many times do you have to press the horn while trying to keep control and braking), I pulled back onto the road and stopped to check the car. Very very suprised to see almost no damage and no flat tyres.

Fortunately the girlie in the Astra behind me saw it all happening, crapped herself, and slowed down. And while that was all happening, we still all passed the slower car that we were cruising by in the first place. Crazy.

But thats not all!

Then later, I was following this big scrap metal truck thru the roadworks, and the truck hit a dip, and this huge chunk of metal comes flying out of the trailer and bouncing along. I soon realised it was not leaving my lane, and I was damn sure I didn't want a hood ornament. At the last moment it bounced left slightly so I flung the car right and narrowly avoided it.

I was just glad to get to the meet up point in one piece! I survived the F3! Yeah!

Well another great 3Fb cruise. Most of us gathered at Thornleigh Maccas by 4pm. This was the debute cruise for the new Sparkles mobile, a sweet S15.

We started our treck with a quick blast down the F3 and then turned off to the old pacific hwy. I was the person who was behind Mr Sparkle and i had not chance to catch him especially around the rough twisty roads.
We divided the old pac run into 3 stages and i was more confident on stage 3 as the roads got smoother.

After the oldpac we stopped at Gosford maccas for a quick photo session and met AusXH. Arrived at the skillion well ahead of time and hungaround and decided to do the fullysik cruise of the Terrigal lap and park in the centre carpark.
We then gathered everyone for Hogs Breath and proceeded to our booked back room rightfully named the "Pig Pen". News got in by then that JR was in the radius and would join us. I'll leave the dinner antics to others to describe but there were many laugh's.

The dinner ended with a few of us having icecream at Coldrock, however AusXH decided to boycott Coldrock and going for desert at NZ icecream.
A massive photo session was conducted at the carpark and the skillion of various cars and Sparkles was offering S15 rides during the time lol. I must say i'm very impressed with it's handling and chassis compliance.

The night ended with a blast back from terrigal to the F3 through the Gosford twisties where a few of us up front had a ball. A guy in a HQ SS joined in the fun but we soon out ran him around the twisties and it was back to be chasing Sparkles until the final corner to the F3. It was then a relaxing cruise home and got back at 1am.
