An SA cruise is being planned for July 20. To boost attendance numbers ample notice is being given. I have included my e-mail to EA-ED members below - you will notice the is not restricted to EA-ED club members, and all FF members who own EA-AU cars are invited to attend.

Hi all,

It's been a long time coming, but a cruise for SA has finally been arranged. Special thanks to Shav (aka blueoval) for his efforts here. The details are:

Time: 6:00 PM
Date: Saturday July 20
Place of departure: Southgate Plaza Shops in Reynella

In order to get the numbers up (there are currently 13 EA-ED members in SA out of 203 club members continent-wide), Shav has decided to open the cruise to all EA and onwards models including EF-ELs and AUs. I will alert our partners at FordForums.com, which will also boost attendance numbers.

I am sure it will be a great success! Please direct any questions to me, or visit the URL below to contribute to our discussion board's Events & Meets forum (note: thread is titled SA XR6-8 cruises).

Oh yeah i just remembered. My car will be in the Ultimate Holden And Ford show at Royal showgrounds that weekend so i can't make it

Yeah a few people are having that problem. I'm not sure if blueoval has proposed a cruise destination yet. If so, it will be in the link above.

Hey mate, well if it were my cruise I'd most certainly welcome X series models (as I did for the Melb meet on June 23). However, I'll need to have a chat to blueoval because it is his event.

Yes, anybody with a Falcon in the X-series is welcome, for sure.
I only chose the EA-EB's because I have one myself.
As I said in the 'Introduce Yourself' thread, I used to have an XC GS Fairmont & an XE Falcon as well.

But hey, this not my show, I'm doing this coz nobody else would,
and I hope someone else will continue the tradition in the southern area after this one. I don't plan to continue to do this again myself, I just want to cruise every now and then.

If some one wants to organise something similar in the future I'm happy to support it, but I don't really want the responsibilty for future events, it's just not me.
I recommend anyone else to organise something for the future.

I like to see things happen, not just talked about.

I've got mate with turbo VL's coming to see what the fuss is all about too.

Yes, Yes, Yes, all types of Fords welcome & some Holdens too?!

Yeh that would be kewl! maybe we could get some full sik moit rice rockets 2 come along, and they can show us how sik there monsta tackos look.....
Surely there is enuff ppl in SA that we dont need other brands?
Is this just a ff.com cruise or a e-series meet?
If its ff all site vistors would be welcome i guess.
Bit of a pity it is on same weekend as ford and holden expo tho.

as long as they are car enthusiasts and not holden yobbo's i dont really see a problem, just because they were brainwashed for one little time in society is no reason to hold it against them for life!! lol
