thought i would put in a plug for a show that i used to play a big part in before i moved interstate.

Kandos is a small country town in the central tablelands of NSW about 100 km from Bathurst to the north east.

the street machine show is about the biggest event that happens there for the year and the whole district gets behind it and gives it a special personality that you dont find in the bigger towns.

the show started out in the main street of town in `92 and was called " Main Street Mania " .
we were the first town to legaly have a burnout comp and go-to-whoa in the main street of town in front of the pub .

after a few years the croud and entrant numbers out grew the space in the main street and a special site was built next to the sports grounds.

the show is based loosely on the early summernatts style with show and shine - track and grass driving events - camping on site and a relaxed fun familly atmosphere.

i have missed plenty of things myself by remembering after the event.

saturday is the main day with show and shine ,go-to-whoa and burnouts , party saturday night and grass events , presentations etc on sunday.

weekend after next (21st-22nd jan) if you are intestedin a good fun time with cars.

BEWARNED , there is nearly always a strong police presence but if you do the right thing you should not have any problems.
