MELBOURNE 2005 - FPV Weekend

Once again the club will be looking to participate at the next FPV Family Day to be held on Sunday the 27th of Febuary 2005 at the FPV factory in Melbourne.

Last year, we won the "Best club display" award and are looking at making it back to back victories....

As we do every year we are hoping to improve on last year and to make this the largest showing from NSW to date.

At this stage we look like heading down from Sydney on Wednesday the 23rd Febuary and returning to Sydney on Monday the 28th Febuary.
These dates are optional to participants, you can come down later or leave earlier if you wish.

The plan is to stay in the same motel as previous years, and if we can manage to get all the rooms in the place booked out, we can get a cheaper rate for everyone....

http://www.stgeorgesmotorinn.com.au

But we do need to collect names NOW....
Everyone that went along in previous years can tell you what fun the trip is.. Every year it seems to get better.

The club will be planning some optional activities whilst down in Melbourne.
Last year we did a tour of the Ford production line, also the new FPR Race Team HQ and a trip to a factory that is making up GT40 kit cars...
In previous years we have also visited the Discovery centre and the engine production factory both in Geelong.
So as always we are looking for suggestions to keep this trip interesting and excitng for everyone, so if any one has an ideas of places to visit please call me up and suggest them or bring the ideas to a club meeting. They also don't necessarily have to all be car related activites...

What we really are after is names... especially for the accomodation, if you definatly sure of attending and wish to stay with everyone at St Georges Motor Inn, please give me your name as we have to work out this part of the trip first...

Thanks....

Ben

The Sucky Sucky Crew will be there in our room near the board room for some more Fun and Games. Any one that has not been down there, it sure is worth it just getting away and having fun with a good bunch of People out to enjoy Time Away and put your Car on show at the same Time.
Maybe Even another trip on the Tram to the Casino.
And if we get it right we might come back with another Trophy for the Club. undefined

Re: MELBOURNE 2005 - FPV Weekend

Hi All...

The current list I have for the BIG trip is as follows:

Stretch & Cara - Tues to Mon - 1 room
Dave & Bev - Tues to Mon - 1 room
Ben Schibeci - Wed to Mon - 1 room
Gary Springett - Wed to Mon - 1 room
Graeme Baird - Wed to Mon - 1 room
Clint Newbould - Wed to Mon - 1 room
Kelli Stephens - Wed to Mon - 1 room
Ben Morgan - Wed to Mon - 1 room
Steve Lamb - Wed to Mon - 1 room

Please let me know if this isnt correct or you wish to add your name to the list...
We are still hoping for a lot more, we want to fill the motels 31 rooms as we will then all be able to benefit in getting a discounted rate...
We are looking at getting $85 per night for standard rooms & $95 per night for larger and spa rooms...
Please let me know also the type of room you would like...

Sorry to keep sounding repetative.. but we do need names ASAP... as I can imagine the motel would not be impressed if we dont get numbers and cant fill the place at the last minute..

Thanks all...
Ben
