What is Cruzin For A Cure

Cruzin For A Cure will become an annual event for all Car Clubs in the memory of Peter Moore.

All money raised will be donated to the Westmead Millennium Institute (WMI) to be held in the “Peter Moore Trust” as part of a capital fundraising initiative for brain tumor research.

Pete chose the WMI as the beneficiaries of his trust due to their innovative “Bench to Bedside” philosophy of finding cures and saving lives. We expect this to be a long-term fundraising venture that will enable the expansion of current viral and genetic research to be applied to the effective treatment of malignant tumors. The WMI also devotes significant resources to other areas of cancer research such as leukemia that Pete also suffered with.

Pete was my godfather & we started organising this before he passed away. Unfortunately he didnt make it so myself & Pete's Girlfriends son have continued to organise it.

The event is starting to come together now so its now time to start getting the word out.

Even though October is a fair way off still, I will keep you updated with news etc.

So hopefully you can write it in your calendar & come to help a worthy cause.

Meeting Spots Confirmed for Short Cruz to Parramatta Park

We have been able to get KFC to let us use 3 of their stores car parks where people can meet before a short cruz to Parramatta Park.

The 3 KFC stores are as follows:

Hurstville: 23 Forest Road , Hurstville

Asquith / Mt Colah: cnr Amor and Pacific Highway

Penrith Leagues: Mulgoa Road, Penrith

We will have someone at each location with route maps & also a lead car that everyone can follow.

NSW division of the Mustang Owners Club of Australia has confirmed that they will be attending :)

We are currently hunting for sponsors for the event & we are starting to get some good prizes for the raffles. So things are coming along nicely.

Mustang Owners Club of Australia NSW
FPV-Tickford Club of NSW (Newcastle Branch)

If you are in a Car Club and would like to come along please let me know at least a few weeks before the event so we can get an estimate on numbers.

So, is the cruise just from the designated KFCs to Paramatta Park? Just trying to work that one out.

Raised the idea with the Euro Ford Club, see how many people are able to attend.

Yes, we are just using the KFC's as a meeting point. Then there will be a short cruise to parra park for BBQ lunch & a few raffles.

XW-XY Owners Club will be selling steak & sausage sandwiches there as well as drinks.

BBQ Lunch

The XW-XY Owners Club will be putting on a BBQ lunch at Parramatta Park. Available will be Sausage Sandwiches, Steak Sandwiches and cold soft drinks.
