Interesting is an understatement!
Some fun facts about my Falcon:
No ABS
No LSD
Front tyres are OK
Rear tyres are getting bald and due for replacement soon
All this on a wet track: priceless!
Sorry, couldn't help it. But it was a great day. It stopped raining and dried up so it was good fun.
The cost is as follows:
Wakefield Club Comp Club Licence: $27.50
Cost to drive your car on the track: $71.50
Helmet hire if you don't have your own: $20 + $50 deposit
The Licence lasts 12 months but you also need it just to go out as a passenger in someone else's car.
The guy told me that the helmets are around $120 to buy. Not too bad.
There's even a fast food canteen at the track so you don't have to waste valuable track time driving the 10 km back into Goulburn for a feed.
I'm hoping to get some of the video footage into MPEG format soon and I'll post some of the more interesting stuff here.
Here's Wakefield's web site for more info on the track, availability, etc...
