OzOrion coming to Melb - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

On the weekend of 25th-26th of May, OzOrion will be coming to Melbourne. It is hoped that at some stage over the weekend, he and I will be able to discuss the options for registering the club. It is hoped that anyone else who might have any ideas to put forth, or any particular interest in the matter would join us for this meeting.

Also, does anyone know of any affordable places to stay in Melbourne?

Sorry mate, I've got my girlfriend coming and I wouldn't want to do that to her. My LPG tank procludes sleeping with our legs in the boot too.

There's a chain of cheapass motels up here called "F1", a friend of mine who's from Melbourne said you guys have them too... anyone know where one is?

Yep,

If you are coming down Hume Hwy, about 7 or 8 minutes after you go past the Ford Factory there will be a Bungee jumping tower thingy. At the next intersection, after you go over the bridge, on the left is the F1 Motel. You can't miss the Ford Plant, Bungee tower so yeah.

Yeah we got one here in Dandenong on princes hwy, near heatherton rd... A mate of mine stayed there with his gf for a night or two, they said it was alright, clean, comfortable, not 5 star stuff but still good for the money nevertheless.

Spent a few hours in the F1 last night. There not too bad. It's a little small, but its clean etc.

Oh, and if ur gonna stay there, I'd advise against u getting room 308 :)

Well next weekend this is happening. I have a proposal to put forth:

Since I think ozorion and SPHELL wanted to catch up about another matter, would it be possible for the 3 of us (and anyone else, perhaps Acid if he wishes) to meet at the same time? And SPHELL, if you were still willing to install that immobiliser, it'd be a lifesaver. I'm happy to pay for your time.

What do you guys think?

Sorry guys, I've changed positions in the company I'm working for and now it looks like Melbourne is out this weekend. I'm still planning to do the trip, but probably not for a few more weeks. When is your next cruise down there?

Anyway, I'll put the information I've collected in to a clear format and email it down to Jack so you can start making a move on getting the official end of things organized.
