reason for the downhil motion of the track at the end is to increase you qtr time, but at the same time it also helps you pull up at the end, notice how it dips down, and then starts to incline. You will slow down a lot quicker on an incline than you will on a flat surface.
Note i ran my Fairmont there, crossed the line at 150kph, and i had a nice time trying to pull up (i had shit brakes at that point) i crapped me pants (you have to slow down slowly, you cant plant ya foot at 150)...
