Perth Show'n'Shine

Sunday April 21st at the FTE showrooms, 192 Leach Highway Melville. The Tickford Owners club of WA, Ace Ford Car club and I think some other clubs will have many of their cars on show. The FTE Showroom will be open with the new 250KW T-series and Mustang on display. The cars will be displayed from 10am to 4pm. With a trophy being awarded for poeples choice. Should be a great day for all.

Sounds awesome! I will be there with the digi cam...

How many cars are you expecting from the tickford club???

Also is it possible to become a member of the WA tickford club if you don't own an XR?? I have a EF Gli Falcon but am interested in getting to know a few of the late model falcon owners.

Well we had a display of 12 cars from the club on Sunday at Kings Carnival in Mandurah to support the Mustang Owners club.It is about the usual turn out, but most of the 60 odd members should show for the FTE Show'n'Shine as a way of saying thanks for letting us use their premises for monthly meetings. Plus who ever shows from the other clubs...
And sorry, but the club is only for people with Tickford made or enhanced cars.

Read hmmmmm

Yeah I had the same opinion when I joined up, but I can also see where the club members are coming from. There are plenty of other Ford clubs out there who accept any Ford motor vehicle, modified or not.
I guess we see Tickford as a seperate entity from Ford just as Brock was to Holden and as such only said cars are allowed to join. It seems abit unfair, but if you don't draw a line somewhere then I guess the club becomes watered down until it no longer resembles a tickford car club and it just becomes a general club that doesn't represent its name.
Financially we do ok because people join knowing they are joining a group of tickford fans just like them, not just a group of ford owners who may not be able to support them or their car the way a specialised Tickford club can.
And Because we specialise in only Tickford cars our experiences, knowledge and Library that all members contribute to are all growing in leaps and bounds. So we welcome anyone from EB XR's to new T-Series cars to offer their opinions and ideas and also benefit from ours.

thats a crock of shit!

i know plenty of non tickford cars in west aust that are much nicer than the tickford ones. at motorvation, an EL Fairmont was in the top 50, and i dont think i saw any tickford club cars in the top 50 pavilion.

tickford only, in such a small place (PERTH) is just plain gay, sure its ok over east, where there is plenty more people around, but in perth, me no like...

my opinion, scream at me if you like, it wont affect me

/end rant

I fully understand where XR8-2NV is coming from as our club is set up the same way and for more or less the same reasons. We have no problem with membership, we have 97 club cars. We accept any Tickford vehicle, in other words if we can get a VIN number and pass it on to Tickfords and they say that they have worked on the car (excluding just LPG or Sunroof) then the car can join if not it can't.

I think we have all missed the point here. Club politics have nothing to do with this Show'n'Shine. It is about the Ford Fanatics of Perth showing their faith in the brand by being at the one place at the one time to celebrate FORD. The Tickford club is there to support an FTE/FoMoCo event just as you all should be. It'll be a great day and it sounds to me like it would be a great place to end a cruise...(Hint, Hint)
Instead of sitting here on the net whinging about how Holden and HSV are kicking our arses in the sales race, lets get out there on mass and be seen supporting the best make of cars in this country...
This will be as good as YOU all make it...
