SA drag meet - when?

Just wondering when the next drag meet is and who wants to go and have some fun and real action?

I reckon it would be a good opportunity for the SA members to have a go against each other. Dyno readouts are good, but a run down the track will really separate the men from the boys! All in good fun of course!

So how about it and can someone setup a date for it?

Re: SA drag meet - when?

depending on day/date/price im more than willing to try and grab the 2 most prestegious awards for E-series SA.

Least powerfull E-series
Slowest E-series (1/4 mile)

both soaked in deap heat.

Seriously though i work 99.95% of saturdays and unfortunatly drags are often on saturday, however given enough notice i should beable to turn up.

Re: SA drag meet - when?

he he LOL @ deep heat issue.

recently there have been sunday drag meets up until the summer, then the saturday meets roll in. Perhaps we could get to one of the last sunday meets before the changeover?

Last time I was there, you were looking at about $30 to get thru scrutineering and racing. I could be wrong, it may be a little more now.

Nevertheless, I'm only in it for fun, not for bragging or lack of bragging rights!

Thing is I dont have a calender for the street meets so I dont know what lays ahead!

Re: SA drag meet - when?

yeah well with bathurst, drive-in night and the dyno day over the next few weeks it prolly wont be sorted till well and truly in dec or even jan 04.

Its gives us plenty of time to organise. I'm in no hurry!

Re: SA drag meet - when?

yes well, I've had that problem before so your not alone. They will look at things like that as well as the usual safety precautions.

Plenty of time to get those things sorted mate.

Re: SA drag meet - when?

Yeah i'd be up for some legal drag racing, it would help if my LSD worked properly. I can always resort to the 20psi in the back tyres (tm) trick again.......

Re: SA drag meet - when?

Heres some links I found.

http://www.nmd.com.au/news2/news_detail.cfm?ID=766

http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Garage/8034/ - This is meant to be AIR's official page, it would help if they updated once a year at least.....

These are all I could find. And people wonder why there is always a big gathering at Drift corner/Eagle on the hill, and similar sorts of things.........

Kiwana (sp?) Motorplex in Perth is open for 66 days next year, with a woop-ass wednesday nearly every week for streetcars.
