I would have to say that this was one of the most enjoyable events that we have had as a club in SA, even though about half the people who originally put their names down ended up pulling out (be it to finances or work, etc...) and there were some others which just didnt show up, which was very dissapointing. But over all I had a great time, as Im sure everyone else did as well. Hehe Even though I did beat ya Brocky haha! go the barge!!
It was running like poo. The dyno graph showed that the power went up, peaked, dropped right down, then peaked at the same power, then dropped again. It also got stuck on the rollers!

Although i couldnt afford to run (damn bein a student) i still attended for a while and had a great time... i think we should have another dyno day in around 6-8 months time, to allow others who couldt come this time to attend, and those who where there to do some further mods. It was a geat day ! :D

My car only pulling 99Kw is a bit of a concearn. Engine is rated at 165Kw meaning thats a 40 odd % loss of power. Seems a bit much. I took the filter out and instantly gained an extra 10 Kw at the wheels.
The TX3 runs two fuel maps. 1 was very very rich, 1 was very lean. Morpowa expect an extra 25 Kw's when tuned half properly.
The Ute is the Zoom magazine devo ute. It goes in for ADR compliencing next week. Stock exhaust, stock intercooler. Apparantly its only the 'stage 1' kit
The mini was dropping a cyclinder under load. Started off ok, dropped the cylinder, then picked it back up when revs dropped. He just had a new motor put in, disc brakes, carbies etc.
I seriously wouldnt mess with that mini. its not far off being one of the quickest mini's in the state (for its engine capacity), when he gets it running properly of course. The bloke who built the engine actually wanted to de-tune it. So far traction through the first three gears has been a problem. Maybe some 14" wheels might help....

engines added. some i cant remember. make amendment where neccessary.
my results really are quite worrying the more i think about it. Closest thing i can compare to is mightyNA's car. He's running a EB 4.0 with CAT back exhaust and Air Filter and pulls more than my EA 3.9 MPFI with full exhaust, plus other engine mods. Surely i should pull more than a EB 4.0ltr?
Ian's stock EF only just missed my figure by sweet FA too. Off the top of my head, i'm looking at a 45% power loss. Thats with driveline work too.
The only thing that i can think of is i do have a small crack around the pipe that leads into front muffler. Only very very small though. Other than that, my clutch is a bit iffy, but that wouldnt warrant loss on a dyno.
Any ideas anyone?
