just out of interest, is anyone planning on going to the Konica V8's on Sunday the 31st of august?? If i can get the day off work i will be there, as the GT Club has been invited to attend as part of a muscle car display (we will also get 2 laps of the track :D). So i was just wondering if anyone else will be out there, and maybe we could catch up for a drink?!

what the!!! 2 laps of the track!
Do you have to own a GT to get on there and is it just a track cruise or what?
If I can actully get the car on the track for a lap or 2 I'll be there for sure.
May still come anyway though, the Konica's are a good race to watch.

The laps of the track are for members of clubs invited to display their cars (ie. Falcon GT Club) so unfortunately our e-series dont qualify and im fairly certain they are only "slow" parade laps.
However, circlework in the car park may be possible, just dont get caught!!
Cost for the day is $25, and if you purchase before 12 midday on friiday the 29th, you get a pit pass included for free.
I dont know if i will be there for sure yet, still tryin to get the day off work. If i do go out there, and others are goin, we could all possibly meet at City Dismantlers in the mornin or something

Thats still good, your recovery will be aided by some 650hp V8's pounding your headache away, while a few Pale ale's will bring it all back again......
I am going now, what time roughly do you want to meet at city dismantlers?? Or maybe the caltex on port wakefield rd? I have to pick a mate up from parafield gdns. And where is everyone planning on sitting? I have always liked the northern hairpin, at the end of the big straight, you can see almost the whole track there.
