All the meets/cruises I have been to have been good but my favourite ones have been the ones that we are doing something like drag racing or movies - even fixing sundeeps car! Maybe we could have a Mod day or something like that where everyone brings their collective knowledge and helps others, maybe Karting and run some sort of championship to have a bit of rivalry (although that would inolve a bit of money). Maybe we could have one of those things where we get into teams and get given a set of instructions and have to answere questions along the way and have a prize for the quickest team? I cant remember what they are called now... :hrm:
There are school holidays coming up in 4 weeks I hear so would it be a good oppurtunity to do something??
Lets get the ball rolling and do what we do best and have great meets!
Whatever we do and so long as it's on a Sunday I will always be down. I really like Karls idea of a mod day. For example, there may be a mod that someone wants to do, but is too afraid to tackle it alone. With the collective experience of all the members, I doubt there would be anything we couldn't fix or help out with.
Everything from fitting clear indicators to installing a new headunit. I reckon it would be quite fun and most people are bound to learn something. The only problem I can foresee with this is finding a suitable place to hold such an event.
Go Karting found be sweet fun, although it could be quite expensive and this would mean that some members couldn't participate.

I reckon this is a brilliant idea, it would be soo much fun. It would take quite a bit of planning though and whoever organised the thing wouldn't be able to enter in it.
I don't really have any ideas of my own, but I like all the suggestions so far. Keep em coming...
I believe it's called Orientation or something like that Ash. I reckon it'd be fantastic. It wouldn't be too hard to set it up, and I'm sure we could come up with something. And maybe do it in the Dandenongs or something.
Also I reckon perhaps our own sort of driving test, like what they had on Australia's worst driver. Maneouvering, reversing, trailer maneouvers, etc etc. And the winner wins a prize and the loser gets his car crushed lol...

Oh the images of people broadsiding their EB wagons...
but we could sign everyone up to an advanced driving course and do it as a group thing with everyone from the club. Just a thought, but again costs money.
The go-kart idea is a good one. you can get 5 races for $60 if you have more than 10 people at some place about 30 mins from knox area, ill find the address if there is any interest.

I like the idea of the teams thing. My parents organised one years ago where you had to drive around and answer questions like "what is the name of some statue in some street in some town?" ONly problem is the organising of it. Maybe someone could be allocated and everyone chip in $5 entry to pay for fuel for organiser and a prize pool for the winner??
Otherwise go karting would be cool :D
