VIC: August 11th FORD CRUISE DETAILS!!

**********************Cruise Details*************************

MELBOURNE MEETING POINT:
The initial meeting point will me on the Western Ring Road at Mobil Service Station/Mc Donaldís car park on the in bound side heading toward the city.

MEL REF: 40 C6
Meeting Time: From 11am
Departure: 12noon (SHARP)

The cruise will then begin. Get back onto the Ring Road, and then take the exit to the right onto the Princes FWY. From here, we head to Geelong along the Princess Freeway. Be extra cautious with all the road works being conducted.

GEELONG MEETING POINT:
Once we get into Geelong, continue along the road until you see Mc Donaldís/KFC on the left side, just before Water world. Turn left into the car park. This is the second meeting point. Iím assuming it will take about 45min-1hour to get to this second meeting point from Melbourne.
We will depart from this location at 1:30 PM.

MEL REF: 224 B9
Meeting Time: 12:45-1:30PM.
Departure: 1:30PM

Then move off and continue along the Princes HWY, heading for Torquay. As we cruise through Geelong, we will be passing the almighty Ford Motor Company Plant on our left, give the guys a toot as you cruise past.
Follow the road all the way through, over the bridges. As you continue, the Princes HWY will change names to Latrobe TCE, and Settlement RD, so donít stress, just keep going straight. You will then need to turn LEFT onto SURF COAST HWYÖ. Donít miss it.

SURF COAST CRUISE:
Once were on the Surf Coast HWY, sit back, relax, set the cruise control and enjoy the drive. We will be on this road for a little while until we come arrive at Torquay.
Once your there, Cruise through Torquay, past all the surf shops. You will eventually get to a round about, at which you follow the road to the right. This is now the Great Ocean Road.
This road will take you to our next stop, Anglesea.
As you arrive at Anglesea you will see some shops on your right, and then come to a round about. Go past the round about and pull in at the car park on the left further up, just before the road curves off to the right. NowÖ.Now guys, keep your beasts under control on the gravel surface.

MEL REF: 196 F8 (Anglesea Stop)

We will have a quick stop here for a chance to re-group, and stretch our legs. Once everyone is ready, itís back onto the Great Ocean Road for the cruise along the coast. The road will soon begin to curve through the mountains, so keep your eyes open for any sharp turns. Continue along the road until you arrive at Lorne.

LUNCH AT LORNE:
As you arrive at Lorne follow the road past the Caravan Park, and left up to the main strip. There will be a car park on the left opposite the shops, this will be our stopping point.
Once you arrive here, you will have the chance to grab a bite to eat for lunch (actually a late lunch), talk cars, go for a swim, throw in a rod, or whatever tickles your fancy.

We will stay here for a few hours until people decide itís time to start heading home.

***************************************************************

Remember guys, this is a relaxed cruise, and not a race. We encourage safe driving at all times.
It is also suggested that you ensure your car is in good mechanical condition before the cruise to prevent any possible problems on the day.

It should be a good chance to meet up with fellow Ford enthusiasts, and see a beautiful part of Victoria, so make the most of it.

Hope to see you there!!

I also remind everyone that eafalcon.com side stickers will be available for $5 per pair. For a sample, see this picture by Acid Burns:

(note: this particular sticker is different to the ones on sale in that it is of our old address, ford.i8.com)
