VIC: GOR Cruise Sun 7 Dec

Following on from the previous thread on the topic, we have now finalised details of the cruise and meet points.

The cruise is happening on Dec 7th which is a Sunday.

The itinerary is as follows:

2 meet points for Melbourne members, Westgate KFC (outgoing side) at 8:30am for a 9:00am sharp depart.
Western Ring Road Macca's 8:30 meet for a 9:10am sharp depart.

This is to hopefully allow both meet groups to join up on the Princess freeway at the same time. If it doesnt work out that way its no big drama.

The Main meet point is in Geelong at Corio KFC. It is the first KFC as you head into Geelong on the left hand side. Meet time is anytime after 9:30. We plan to leave here by 10:30am. This give a bit of a chance for people to catch up and newbies to make themselves known.

The cruise will go through Geelong and then turn off towards the GOR. We will possibly have a regroup stop along the way if its needed. Lunch will be in Lorne when we get there. Maps will be handed out at the Geelong meet point.

We will be also using UHF radios on this cruise. If you have one bring it along. a channel will be decided on the day. If yo have more than 1 and would be willing to loan it to someone for the day that would be much appreciated.

Its advisable to have a full tank of fuel before we leave Geelong. Also cars need to be in a good mechanical state. If the worst happens and a vehicle does give problems we definitly wont leave the peron to fend on their own.

This is the Westgate meet point. Melway ref P42 H 12

This is the Western Ring Road meet point. Melway ref P40 C 5

The Melway Ref for the Geelong meet point is P432 B 10

Could people coming please post in this thread. We are looking into organising a place to go to for lunch and hopefully getting a discount on lunch. If there isnt enough people to justify jacking something up itll be bring/buy your own.

If there's people who want to come but cant drive/dont have a car post here also and you may beable to organuise to car pool with someone.

Thanks!
