Wakefield Park Track Day revised details
G'day. Here is the latest on the wakefield day.
I would like to thank all those who have paid their deposits swiftly to enable this event to go ahead.
We have 33 confirmed attendees. participant numbers will be capped at 45, and we will be closing off entries October 1, so it will enable us to get the final payments from you guys before the day. It will be a whole lot better than receiving the money on the day. I dont really want to have a whole stack of money on me during that day.
If we make a date for final payment November 7, a week before we go.
With the day itself, there will be 4 Aussie Legend race cars there with us. Our club sponsor Power Ford are getting that together for us.
This means that there will be 4 experienced race car drivers on hand to give us all some pointers on how to drive our cars best. Think of it as a crash course in Advanced Driver Training!!! These blokes, at one stage during their careers have spent time behind the wheel of V8 Supercars, so I think it will be a blast to have these guys around for the day. Well worth the $120!!!
Requirements as far as getting out on the track, will be, long pants, long sleeve top, Australian Standards crash helmet, a 'Wakefield' licence, (which is purchased on site for $30, current for 12 months).
Advisable to do such things to your car like high temp lubricants/fluids.
