Re: Well were back from the three day cruise

Only just got out of bed now....But it looks like I was too quick when I posted in the VIC/TAS section last night! Ah Well.

Was a great drive and for all you doubters out there the XD made it with only a failing windscreen washer pump and a rattle from the engine! Considering how hard it went through the mountains I don't think the rattle is terminal either.

Great cruise, great roads, great bunch of guys.... bring on 2005!

Just like a Tsunami.

** 3 Day Cruise - PICS and Stats **

We have posted them on this thread ---> http://fordforums.com/showthread.php...241#post966241

I had a BLAST to say the least. Any doubt I had was quickly diminished as soon as I turned into the first corner on the hill climb. It really makes you appreciate how fantastic these cars perform.

Along the way we were all kept busy making sure we were going the right way, chatting on the 2-way radios while enjoying the scenery. I guess there were no surprises the way onlookers were dazzled by the line-up of the menacing Fords whenever we pulled into a township for a stretch of the legs and a drink.

A tip for the next cruise, don't bring anyone who is likely to nag . . . its a drivers event where enthusiastic passengers are always welcome.

Can't wait for the next one!!

Re: Well were back from the three day cruise

There's no doubting the BA's cornering prowess over previous models. I could keep up no worries in some of the less severe stuff... but the XD had no chance when the roads got real twisty on the runs into the ski resorts and the like. Very impressive how much grip the BA's have and their brakes left me for dead.

Still prefer the character of the mighy Clevo though...next year, I might have a some surprises for you too

LOL, yes they did get mighty hot a few times... though the disks have survived unharmed!

Next year will be one not to be missed.
