Dragged the car out to calder park yester to drive it like I stole.. and to aslo get some idea of what it's capable of.
There were bugger all people there.. I got 13 runs between 6-8.30pm .. and that was after I parked for a while as I was getting tired!!.
The best time I got was 14.06 @101 mph. Launches were critical as the car tended to bog a bit anyway (60ft times were in the vicinity of 2.2) and also it ran out of puff in third about 50m from the finish .. changing into 4th kept the ET but dropped the MPH ....
anyway..it was all fun .. the car wasn't done with dragging in mind anyway!!
Saw carolyn (V8 XF) and her hubby there but no one else!!!

Why do you think it acceleration slowed/stopped in the last 50m?

RATT.. it really just slowed .. the gearing and power band on the motor really aren't suited to the 1/4 mile ... the motor has never been tuned..once the work starts flowing again I will book it in for a dyno to see what can be achieved!!
