Engine sometimes sputers when started and cuts out when driving. also cuts out when i floor it. wires plugs cap are 1 yr old. 125000 miles. sometimes runs fine, check engine lite comes on and off while driving but has done this sence i've had her. any advice would be helpfull.

get a fuel pressure test done. check the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel injectors, and also check the lines. do a circut check on the fuel pump as well.

look into the tfi ignition coil if it gets to hot kablamo it wont work till coooled down.
replacing em wnt get you to far.
many of us have ended this indefintly by doing two things.
1 instaling a msd tfi blaster about $40
2 ditching the tfi and wiring up for say a gm style cilinder coil.
