Whats up ya'll,
My 94 Tempo is going to s---, the other day it would not crank from the key, you could jump it, nut still not start, last night it cranked from the key side, I sprayed it good with starter fluid, still wont start. It'll crank, but not start, you can also here the fuel pump kick on. Any ideas??? Thanks. Ironhead proud owner of a 1975 Ironhead Sportster

Reason: Renamed due to inapropriate naming
Have you checked it for spark yet??? What's the fuel pressure at the rail???

Yeah, it's got spark to the plugs and dist, also replaced the alternator, do not have the equipment to test the fuel pressure. Man, this thing just quit one day after a heavy snow, my wife finally just said shes gonna go start it, and it cranked, but would not for a week. I hear the fuel pump kick in, but I can't smell any fuel. Where is the filter located on this thing??? I got it for free from my das sister, only has 30,000 miles on it, like brand new. So any ideas would be greatly appreceated, thanks
The filtr looks like it is under the hood near the right strut tower from the picture I have. Make sure your batery cables are tight and clean. Have a good battery. Check for codes with a code reader. Is it cranking slowly??? Other than that and checking fuel pressure I got nothing else to suggest yet.

im gonna replace the cables tommorow, it acts like it wants to start, cranks real good. dont the codes just show emmisions related stuff, or all the sensors , what else does it read, asked dude at advance what they read , he said just emmisions, man i giot an ol ford truck, i can work on that, this thing is crazy, let ya know what happens tommorow. thanks
The scanners can do as little as code reading and clearing, or also include data displays. Codes include emissions and basic powertrain operation. If you had the code read and posted it on here I could have given you a diagnostic test for the code.

I had something like that with my 94 Tempo. In my case it was the fuel filter (probably had never been changed). Could be the fuel pump going south on it, too.
