Am having a bit of trouble with this one not being really familiar with Tempo/Topaz doesen't help much. The battery doesn't hold a charge. I charge the battery, drive it for a couple of hundred miles and then nothing. Took the battery in to have it tested and it showed 5 volts obviously discharged. I have replaced the alternator, and know it is good, I had it benched before it left the parts house, the battery is new also. I am thinking I got a bad battery, but thought I would get a different viewpoint.

Got it narrowed down, it was a dead cell in the battery. I started the vehicle, then took off the positive battery cable while it was running, it still ran, so I knew that the alternator was good. When I took the battery in to get it checked, it was cool so the cell would hold a charge, when it warmed up, the cell wouldn't and the battery would die immediately.
